Burlap Wedding - DIY Table Runners

I love the look of burlap. You can see my ode to burlap post here. I came across instructions for a DIY burlap table runner. Burlap is such an inexpensive fabric and looks great if you are doing a casual wedding but also can look very modern and chic. Below you will find instructions on how to DIY burlap wedding table runners. This post is from a great wedding resource: Style Me Pretty.

These instructions are verbatim from Style Me Pretty.

Materials

One bolt of 54-inch wide burlap (you can use less, but 21 runners took the full bolt)
Teal Blue Thread

Directions

1. Cut fabric in lengths of 14 feet, two inches.

2. Cut in half lengthwise so that each strip is 27 inches wide

3. Turn the ends and sides under one inch and hem

4. Stitch with a zig zag stitch (my mom used the largest zig zag, about a quarter of an inch) on her machine and chose satin thread)

5. Iron flat

I love bottles….all shapes and all sizes. I love how this arrangement was made using different types of bottles with just a few beautiful flowers in each.

Centerpiece of the Week - Yellow and White Wedding Flowers

November 12, 2009 –

Yellow and White as a color combination has always been one of my favorites…clean, crisp and makes you want to smile. As my girl Karen would say, always display vases in odd numbers…3’s, 5’s etc. Well Huckleberry Karen Designs created this wedding centerpiece and it is beautiful. Photo by Elle Jae Weddings. P.S. Cool Things Wednesdays 74 - Unique Wedding Ideas & Decor

Well this CTW is all about burlap. I love mixing rustic, earthy elements with chic, simple and sophisticated elements. Burlap is a great way to add texture to your wedding decor. Plus it is a fairly inexpensive fabric. I love these wine bottle bags. Would be such a cute favor.

This burlap banner would look great at a wedding.

I also love the use of burlap as part of your wedding table decor. This table runner can be customized for both size and letter personalization. A simple and inexpensive way to spruce up standard linens without having to pay the upgraded linen costs.

Centerpiece of the Week - Artichoke Wedding Decor

I love the use of artichokes in wedding decor. They make a unique and visually interesting focal point. And I love how simple and elegant it looks. I can only assume that it is cost effective too.
